On this course we will be focusing on the cultivation of metta – the quality of kindness and goodwill directed towards ourselves, others and all phenomena in experience. We will be exploring creative ways of approaching this practice. The cultivation of metta is a skill that can be learned and deepened over time. We will also be looking at what kinds of attitudes and conditions are conducive to developing and deepening metta, as well as some common obstacles to practice. The course will offer a practical set of tools for the meditator to develop their practice. The course is suitable for beginners, as well as for people with more experience.
The course will consist of guided meditations, teaching and Q & A. It is also possible to sign up for a one-to-one discussion about practice before the session. If you are interested in this, please email Juha at penttila.j@gmail.com.
