“Satipatthana – The Great Experiment”: A Four-Week Course with Paul Burrows 21.1.-12.2.

Course description

The Satipatthana Sutta is the record of an ancient teaching given by the historical figure known as the Buddha. It is a teaching which addresses the great experiment of establishing our lives in mindfulness, and has seeded two and a half thousand years of insight meditation practice. This course offers a thorough introduction to this subtle and far reaching discourse and will support beginners and experienced practitioners alike to develop their practice. Come and explore this central teaching in the Buddha’s tradition – as we bring alive the profound and transformative wisdom it contains. Participants are requested to attend all four sessions.

Who is it for?

The course is suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators. No prior experience of sutta study is needed.

Times and venues

The course starts on 21.1. and will continue every Wednesday until the last meeting on 12.2. All sessions are from 18:00 to 20:00. The venue is Dekkarikirjasto in Kallion kirjasto (Kallio library), on Viides Linja 11 in Helsinki.
