On Tuesday Nov 24th, Nirodha’s meditation evening will be led by Elad Levinson from California. The theme of the evening is ”Thriving on Change”.
The evening will be taught in English. Both beginners and experienced practitioners are warmly welcome. The evening is free of charge, but there will be a possibility to offer a donation to Elad. The evening is at Buddhist Center Sampo (Vetehisenkuja 3, 00530 Helsinki) from 6 PM–8:30 PM.
To thrive in the Buddhist viewpoint is to see and know reality. Awareness, Attentional practice leading to stillness and generating and cultivating goodwill (metta, karuna, mudita) are all skills that one can acquire and be warm, kind and capable of having ”good conflict”.
Elad Levinson LCSW is a 35 year practitioner of Buddhist arts. He has studied with Kalu Rinpoche, HH the Dalai Lama, Jack Kornfield, Joseph Goldstein and Sylvia Boorstein. From 2012 to 2014 he was the Director of Programs and Community Development for Spirit Rock Meditation Center. He is the Board President of Dhammadharini a women’s Buddhist Monastic community in Northern California. ”I am a translator and synthesizer of the Dharma to leaders in any settings. I want the genius of the Buddha to be accessible to anyone regardless of interest in Buddhism per se.”
